  • July 8, 2013

Over the past year we have noticed an increase in website hacks and attacks.

What does this mean for you?

Without getting too technical it means you won’t receive quote requests.

We will do a free virus scan of your site and test your form functionality.

Just shoot me an email or call: 801:850:2305

For those of you that are technical and think you can do it yourself here are some tips.

-update all frameworks (including plugins)
(Word of caution: This might screw your site up. Always, always, always make a backup.

-Monitor server logs. For those of you that use Ubuntu or Linux as your server here is the command. tail -f /var/log/mail.log if your server is hacked you will be sending spam like crazy.

-Proper File permissions. Very few files should have read, write, and execute or chmod 777. Be sure to have the correct file permissions.

Hope this helps some of you. As always feel free to reach out to me for help.
